Hot Air Balloons are a commanding site. I'm sure
nobody who spots one drifting through the air can help but pause
to stare as it floats silently through the sky.
Ever since I was a child I was fascinated by their
garish colours and padded shape. Problem is, a ride in a balloon
is never a cheap affair, with most rides costing around the US$200
mark at least.
Oh, and you've got to wake up at dawn too!
Well thanks to working at the hostel in Queenstown the first problem
was solved for me, and the second I just had to deal with!
So would I recommend it? Well, if the area is as scenic as Queenstown
then certainly, but if you're over flat desert or fields then probably
not.

Get that fire going!

I took a photo similar to this, but my
one turned out rubbish unfortunately.
