China was by far the most crazy country visited. Living in China is like those nightmares where you're naked and everyone's staring at you - except that you've awake, and have usually got your clothes on.

EVERYONE stares at you 24-7 which takes some getting used too, and it can be annoying early in the morning when you're rushing about trying to get a train or something with a huge hangover.
In the remote areas kids would sometimes sneak up behind me and pull my arm hairs too (I dunno the reasons exactly - "Hey Cheng! I touched a whitey" is one of the main motivations though).

I spent two and a half months wondering from the top, round the coast, and then in a bit to near Tibet. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but that may just be due to favourable hindsight.
