This was the world's first commercial bungy, open since November 1988, and is in a particularly pretty part of the area. It's also one of the few jumps in New Zealand where you can get dunked in the water too, which is something I'd always wanted to do.


It's a hilly area risky for anyone without proper safety equipment.

With my buggered leg I obviously couldn't do a jump with the cord attached to my ankles, so I did a harness jump instead. I was a bit nervous about jumping again after the altercation I had up at the ledge a few weeks earlier, so I kept stum as to how I'd broken my leg.


Unfortunately I missed touching the water by a mere fingers breadth as the harness around my waist kept me short. I also managed to not break any more bones which was nice.
