Tina, being the Best-fiancé-in-the-world-evar™, went and got be me a cracking gift: A Xootr.

The Xootr is the King of Kickboards. No more crappy Razor for me, nuh-huh. Sure the name is a bit too-cool-for-school, as it's pronounced "Zooter", but I'll let that one slide as it really is that cool.

Admittedly the locals stare even more than usual when I zoom past them, but hey, I'm past so quickly that I don't really mind.

Principally I had a scooter in the first place because it saves me some walking time from my house to the subway, then from the subway to work. As I work a split shift and travel to work twice in one day I'd say it saves me about an hour a day of commute time (4 x 15 minutes) - fairly substantial really.

I guess that I don't really need one, but it's just so much fun to zoom around on!

As you can see in this picture, compared to my old Razor style scooter, the Xootr is seriously bigger, but as it's made of Magnesium it actually weights the same!

This means that there's no more hassle changing feet when pushing, and you can stand more comfortably.
